So they do not stop you from landing by force, that does not mean it aint illegal to be there.

If anything you just brought up another point, they should destroy you if you attempt to leave orbit without clearance.

They just advise people not to land

The stance is more "go at your own risk, we're not paid to assist people here".

Having same issue with these two. I mainly play solo and loot way over 15 throughout the match, so I should have Plunderer. I have also gone up using Lollipop, energy drink and 3 pitons before, reaching a safe platform at the top, and not getting endurance bug. This is definitely bugged somehow.

As for the tracking: i remember that at the start of early access for the first game, wolfspiders were really good at tracking and hunting down the player. IIrc it was then nerfed down quite bit.
I watched and circled scorpions and wolfspiders a bit now and see that the still do this, but not very far. Might still be a problem if slow on foot and not mounted.

I guess I would clarify my statement, and agree with you--sure, I don't have a problem with the sheer number of enemies, just that they are literally EVERYWHERE and it makes finding a spot to build a base obnoxious. The topography of the map is also very flat, which is kinda boring, and the current building mechanics do not give you enough freedom to really creative unique and effective bases. I have ample experience in base-building games, and there is much to be desired in this one.

How long do you have to play to be good? I'm asking this because i've seen other people quit the game either because it was taking a toll on them or that everything was just going to ♥♥♥♥ for them. But i want to play long enough to get good.. but how long is it? Because my very small but many skill issues paired with the fact that the game just screws me over is exhausting. DO NOT, DO NOT play to be good.

Do not even think or worry about that, because let me tell you, no matter how good you are, everyone is this game wants to smash their keyboard at some point due to some kind of BS out of your control.

Play to have fun, stop when you aren't. That's all there is to it.

I'm not saying don't try to improve or learn, sure, but let that be your 2nd or 3rd priority.

If you play this game and only focus on how good you are to the exclusion of all else you are going to drive yourself insane.

Could not have said if better myself. This is the ultimate advice on what to expect from WT. There is fun to be had but never think you are in control of each and every battle you enter. There are too many in game variables that can dictate your fate.

Example Battlefront 2. Rampant cheating with admin level hacking. people shutting down entire games, zero fixes, zero support for years while they still charge 40 bucks for the game.

Cheating is already rampant on the BETA so can we trust you to actually monitor it like Valorant does? AI cheats are about to hit, what are you going to do about that when you can't even stop the DMA hackers presently?

What is the gameplan? Where is the vision that should include AI monitoring gameplay of routinely top performers and shadowbanning players until a review if too many things are triggered.

You say over 300,000 cheating attempts. Ok, where are the ban numbers? IP bans, refunds from cheaters? Hardware level bans? Of course that can be bypassed to, but each layer matters and EA has not proven they care more about a customer who does not cheat than taking money from people who do cheat like they have in Battlefront 2. Stupid reddit can tell I am on a VPN and deny access but these games just let you keep playing and cheating, taking players into lobbies from countries where cheating is more accepted.

EA wants us to install a rootkit but I see no gameplan to tackle how bad cheating on PC has become. Rumors are this game cost 400 million. How much was spent on making sure it's not a broken product which should be refunded like Battlefront 2?

This isn't 2017. This is 2025 where kids that aren't even bright can hack a game with a DMA card. EA has not shown me they care about their existing customers, have no idea how to tackle modern cheating and I see zero reason to hand them more money (yet). I would love for EA to prove me wrong and fix existing games, secure this game. Will they? Doubt it. They will just spend money on influencers, marketing and advertising instead.

It feels like I’m playing COD, but it hasn’t learned any of COD’s strengths. More like a shoddily crafted product.
