When you run full boost long enough eventually the game auto boosts. Even after rebinding to a different key and changing tracks. Only restarting the game fixes it.

Binding boost to to the same button as to select restart on controller causes the timetrial to auto start rather than holding boost when your ready when you retry your timetrial.
