I just finished beating the Early Access version of the game (I've beaten the demo), and I've also explored just hunting random cars for a bit.

So here's my opinion/review and what I think would add to this already good little game.

The vehicles, customisation and weapon sets (when you get used to the UI) are both very nice, especially the game's theme and art style, all of those together really play on my retro nostalgia. The weaponry all has it's own feel, of course I learned towards firing the acid barrels from all four slots on the large caravan - this destroys almost everything in seconds, in fact it wipes out entire platoons of vehicles in 5-10 seconds if used the right way. Despite this I really like how everything works, all the weapons feel different, and nothing is the same. The custom skins and massive amount of loot-able skins really add to the drive to run a few extra missions and unlock some more. The game's driving most of all, feels amazing.

What I would like to see.

Given how good the driving is it seems obvious to have a race option, which we do, however it can get a bit confusing and can feel like driving in circles and doing U-turns just to find out where the next arch is - I feel like the game could make better use of the random roads that spawn and seem endless, making the race feel more natural and giving the player reason to enjoy the fine handling this game offers - racing on the roads, or a larger race specific road with out-of-bounds slowing the speed would be amazing, especially with combat (which racing lacks), the shooting doesn't have to do max damage, just slow the other cars down - perhaps weapons are activated by mysterious pickups, also the edition of speed up pads or boost pickups would be great.

The combat is another strong point of this game, it would be nice to see an area death-match, perhaps a zone that can't be exited, or capture zones that give points like King of the Hill. Allow respawns for the player and enemies, have enemy vehicles be closer to the player's equal for this mode (in damage and health), even capture the flag would be super interesting - and these modes would make online play in the future much more fun.
As combat is right now, I feel I always just drive away, and enemies spread out. Having a limited, but not too small area locked in would be a good alternative mode that stops it from being an endless chase battle with no turning.

Other possible work-arounds could be having specific set maps the player and enemies spawn in after passing into a cloud (we always have the world available) so how about a linear road map with tighter surroundings and turns, or a death-match zone/walled off arena (of course with lots of space and vertical areas).

A bonus suggestion would be a sand dunes biome and a lightweight dune-buggy with a single weapon.
