Let's compare the two protagonists , also at the end a verdict for who i prefer , feel free to speak your piece on your preference if you like.

1) Character premise
Lacie
She is hated by the world except Hiro and that's because of her Curse
Kat
She is a normal girl that is presented as an annoying know it all and so her classmates initally dislike her however you can turn that around with some good beheaviour.

It looks like Lacie's premise is essentially Kat's premise but on a far larger and more dramatic scale , also note that they both have a "Pillar" of sorts , Hiro for Lacie and Annie for Kat.
Lacie finds the golden letter on her own apparently and Kat gets someone else's golden letter.

2) Objective
Lacie
Wants to find a cure for her curse
Kat
Wants to find her dad

It appears that Lacie's objective is more selfish then Kat however at the same time Lacie's problem is also a lot more personal as it prevents her from having a normal life , whereas Kat problem doesn't quite at the same level.


3) Personality
Kat personality is more outgoing , a clear contrast to Lacie's more shy and introverted personality , i'm sure they would get along very well.
At the same time Kat is capable of being quite mean to the extent of cutting her classmates hair for her own goal which i don't think it's an option Lacie would be allowed to have as it's waay out there in terms of her character.


4) Weapon
Yes , it seems that each of them has a unique weapon that is strongly tied to their character , Lighter for Kat and Knife for Lacie , which also happen to be the same abilities that MissKnifes has from blessing 5 and blessing 6 , interesting indeed.


VERDICT : Lacie scores a 99/10 and Kat scores a 9/10 for my personal preference

Forgive me if this has already been addressed, but the solid bones card for boneshaper does not increase the health total of the skeletons. Each skeleton should receive a + to health, movement and 1 pierce and the health doesnt get applied to existing or future summons. thanks!

Certain artifacts don't seem to be upgrading, which is to say the effects are not increased in the Mecha menu from whatever value they were acquired at.

This seems to only affect direct boosts which don't rely on any other calculations, such as Hardened Shell. Choosing these for upgrades does not increase the benefit they provide, at least according to the stat sheet. Note that acquiring them at a higher rank to begin with does provide the higher ranked bonus. It's just that upgrading them later doesn't seem to do anything.

Artifacts like the ones that boost area damage based on projectile weapon count, or the one that gives attack speed from crit hits, those seem to properly increase in effect when upgrading.
