I'm getting nauseating chop/stutter with head movement and locomotion.

Really no difference if I launch in steamvr or openxr/vdxr.
Although vdxr delivers better framerate, stutter remains.

Tweaked settings up/down. little improvement

You probably missed the big red thumb pointing down, sunshine. Along with other indications that I do NOT recommend the purchase of that game.

A lot of the time its because there arent actually even zombies in the house. Some of the lower tier POIS are a prime easy to see example of this... there is one where you go into the roof and there is a little white stair thing you go down, if you shoot the fake door open from the attic you see there is no zombie but the second you touch the stair POOF magically 3 zombies spawned

Please, please add a savegame option this time around. All the BB titles, like Battle Axe and Xenocrisis, lack this option. it is a big oversight! Some of us are old and tired and cannot start the game from the beginning every time

Gestalt is unique enough, that a major change like how the main character acts around others can be a defining quality of the game. Saying its "doesnt change enough" is a telltale sign of not having played the game and being a contradiction. Cause if it was so minimal, then it would have been an official option already in the new version.

Kid Nier is fine, but pretty generic for an RPG/anime character. Thats intentional for his motivation to get more violent later. I dont think many people would list him as their favorite character.

But Dad Nier is so much more unique, and being less passive makes his dialogue with Weiss and Kaine especially stand out a lot more. How he acts and what he does to the team dynamic? Yeah, someone can say "Dad Nier is my favorite character" and it wouldnt feel strange at all.

Its easy to predict what Kid Nier is going to say at any given moment. But Dad Nier feels a lot more active in the group which lets him get reactions out of the rest of the team that Kid Nier would never get.

(also both versions released in Japan so.......Yeah being a "western requirement" is only a small part of what went into Gestalt being made)

It's an attempt at rationalizing the issue at hand, but given the absolute neglect given towards this edition by the developers, writers and especially Yoko Taro himself make it painfully obvious that this variant of the game was created at the behest of the publisher.

I've played NieR Re[in]carnation faithfully until Square Enix decided to kill it off instead of investing on the game (and it was in very poor shape towards the end, needed a lot of technical work they were unwilling to do - I won't forgive them for this), and not once did they ever bring up Gestalt, on what was 3 years of active lore development for the franchise.

The NieR collabs were for Replicant and Automata, the gacha costumes made available were both for brother Nier (referred to as "The World-Ender" in the game) and I cannot recall any lore drop related to Gestalt, all the way to the end. They even made the YoRHa unit that was supposed to be the guardian of the moon server playable towards the end, but nothing on the butt ugly boomer Nier. That alone speaks volumes, IMHO. Also don't recall any recent stage play, artbook or storybook that develops on it.

Im actually able to play this due to family share with my brother. I wont buy that stuff, even if was a fan of part 1 due to what happened. But i realy would like to remove all the gay/muslim/blackrock stuff. Is there any option?
