Not sure if were playing the same game but the only thing i have yet to found on red and blue boxes are the super high end armor, the super high end helmet and very few guns.

Just now when raiding Dead Brigde the redbox gave me a Plasma Rifle looked pretty cool didnt tested yet.

I guess rng messed me up really bad for the last 2 characters, but my point is about guaranteed unique weapons, maybe with some note hinting where they are, so rng boxes become nice supplimentary loot instead of main source
