Long distance stuns, aka moonshots, were so rare you'd see them at most once every 2 matches. Most of the time some guy across the map would get hit from a random hail-mary throw and because he were so far away and behind the frontline, he would usually just be disabled for 8 seconds and then continue on like nothing happened. And even if it DID happen, it happened so rarely per person that you'd probably have it happen to you on average every 12 matches or so. When it happens to you, you really don't care if you die or live because of how little it happens in general. Sure, if you were getting constantly stunned into immobility all the time then maybe you'd have an argument there, but the truth is you didn't. Compare all this to a random huntsman arrow flying across the map and killing them instantly, which, mind you, happens far more often.
It didn't happen rarely. It was already becoming meta. I was running it basically every time I played scout in casual and I killed lots of people with it every game. You could take someone out without having the movement skills to dodge. If it was kept until today with the skill level of people today it would be an absolute catastrophe.

Again the comparison to sniper primaries. Why should scout have a sniper primary in his melee slot? Scout and sniper isn't the same class. You can't just give scout a huntsman and think it is balanced, and you especially can't give it to him it to use in his melee slot.

How about this: give heavy the tide turner, give soldier a tomislav in his secondary, Give spy direct hit, I mean if we are going to use randomizer rules why not do it to all classes? Mix and match however you want.

Being hit with anything is being "outplayed".
That's not at all the same. Your health is a resource like anything else, that should be used. There's very few attacks that are ohko. If you are hit in the back by the spy knife yes you were outplayed, or walking into a sticky tap sure. That's your mistake that led to it. A baseball from a scout? No. That's not your fault.

Yes tf2 is sometimes random. I also dislike random crits. I play mostly competitive mode where it is disabled.
