Bit of a major oversight that you cant respc the dread without killing off a squad member till they have no reslience and then killing off the dread in a limited mission. that kinda killed it for me.

Played it didnt like it, i think even BF2 / BF2042 were better IMO.

I agree with the author of the discussion 50%, and I disagree with this (@Maskan) person 100%. You're waving around the meaning of the word “challenge,” but you're missing one simple idea that the first part of the problem conveys—you simply DO NOT CONTROL which mode and which team you end up in. Let's take a simple example: you really need to level up your engineer, but when you enter the game, the engineer class is locked. You leave the game, look for another one, but it's the same there. You stay in the game, thinking that the class will be unlocked on the next map, but that doesn't happen. And so 5-10-15-20 battles pass, and you just need to raise a couple of levels in your class, but it is simply blocked on all the maps you end up on. That's the problem with challenges in this game.

I understand that pride won't let you admit you're wrong, but at least admit to yourself how much of an a***ole you are in this matter.

I like to play the Spanish Reconquista (DLC), either side, with lots of different culture combos/hybrids. For an early date Basque or Catalan Visigothic Code is sweet for inheritance.

Lately I have been playing with the Saka around the Tarim Basin, building 'tall' - first hybridizing with some steppe culture (to run pure cavalry MAA) and then with the Persians. Easy to play tall there with an extra domain from pacifism and the limited directions you can get attacked. Plagues pretty much leave you alone. You even get a mine.

all that madness aside, I think most people just never checked what the hotkey was for push-to-talk on PC, i had to do it to rant at some open-mic bastards so they'd notice that they were constantly transmitting ♥♥♥♥ :P

I disagree about it being game breaking. It bypasses some of the grind, sometimes, but many of the better stated NPCs you can capture either want tons of money or are very very hard to convince to join you.
A new player wouldn't have the money to drop on some of the better recruitables, and a veteran player already knows 110 different ways to cheese every other aspect of the game making it a mute point anyway.

It's really nice when you have higher level squads and don't want to drop everything to train up a lvl 1 noobie to be comparable to your other guys.

Well, it lets you fairly easily recruit as many high stat people as you want, often after a nothing more than a simple dialogue challenge or a comparatively low amount of cats - up to and including the most powerful named NPCs in the game. (but tbf I believe those do have hefty requirements.)

I agree it is nice to bypass some of the grind, my last playthrough had a full squad of Swamp Ninja Jonin with attributes & stats starting around 40-50 and Shek Bersekers, for nothing more than a bit of conversation. I'm not judging those who do it, but it can certainly feel a bit cheaty (but of course that's up to us to use it or not.)
