No way to earn money in San Diego?

Alright having come back after starting fresh in San Diego (and completing the scenario in like a 10th the time it took my last attempt to fail), I've made these (in hindsight obvious) discoveries.

Namely that paths and foot traffic 100% matter. If there's no dinosaurs near an amenity, no one's going to go near it no matter what it is. Size also matters; it's better to have a small amenity that is always at 100% capacity than a large one that is always at 10% capacity. Small amenities should go where there's little foot traffic, larger ones should go where it's crowded. Attendance also drives profits up, so always be creating new dinosaurs, always be researching SOMETHING, always be at max scientists, ALWAYS modify your dinosaurs to be long-lived so you have to replace them less frequently.

Basic attractions like Movie Theaters and Mini-Golf also just bring in guests automatically and require basically no strategy or upkeep; I placed a Bowling Alley, a VR Arcade, and a Gym right next to one another and basically instantly gained an extra rating star and a cool couple mil in spending money. You can also handily cheat the proximity heat map for amenities by just making branching spider-webby paths, giving you more technical distance between amenities. If your paths are too efficient, the heat map will say you have 100% food coverage with just 2 small burger joints and any additional dining you build will oversaturate the market and lose money.

Still have no idea why the only profitable amenity options were Cheap Burgers/Bento Sushi, Slushies/Energy Drinks, and Action Figures (maybe it really is dependent on the map or what dinosaurs/attractions you place them by), but this second playthrough was like night and day. My last park went bankrupt while my Raptors and Compys died off faster than I could incubate replacements, meanwhile I completed this entire scenario before the starting Pachys died of old age. Did not expect this kind of layout-based strategy in a park sim, but it's kinda neat once you get the hang of it.
