Yeah that's an issue with all killers in the game that hold power to force off tiles. Back in the golden age of the game 2016 - 2018 killers got a 50% reduction to speed to be punished for holding power to prevent killers from guaranteeing hits on loops and pallets and would require actual skill to hit people, but the dev's have removed anything skill related for killers.

the killer should be barley slower than the survivor so when it comes to running in the open the killer has to out manover them instead of survivors having to rely on windows and barricades it's really a mirecle that you get away once a killer is on you theres really no escape

The game is already dead. It's never coming back let alone changes being made to it. Don't expect anything at all. You're probably better off moving on if you want to play a game that'll actually have improvements made to it.

This game was great once but has long since fallen from grace.

The OPs question was "Capture Base or Destroy all?". I provided a succinct summary of why Kill all is a better choice.

Regardless of the obfuscation; around the amount of games that could have been won either way (estimated at about 5%), the fact is that approximately 85% of all matches end in Kill All.

Are their times to use cap pressure or even to pursue a cap win, certainly. The cap decision matrix has some value, but unfortunately is beyond the implementation of a large portion of the player base.

Usually when i have an issue like this, saving, quitting, and reloading resolves it. I'd try that first if you haven't yet

(Sorry for giving a "have you tried turning it off and on again" type answer lol, I've just found that it usually does work for resolving things haha)

Stay at the head, in front of it if possible, it force them to do stomping attack most of the time, reducing chances for flying attack
It work for any wyvern even in Elden Ring, except for the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ancient dragon

the classic agheel dragon does fly up regardless if bonking the head or feet or tail from my experience
hitting the head and fishing for stomps it's not any better than hitting the tail and fishing for tailswipes to keep them grounded, eventually they just pack up and start flying

in nightreign especially, since day 1 and and day 2 dragon bosses seem to be obessed with the circle's edge, they always place their body outside the circle only leaving a bit of neck and head in so hitting the head happens fairly organically, and even so they will just take a bunch of hits in and dip in the sky

this is probably on me for taking some half-assed comment about ai manipulation too literally, dragons will fly around and that's pretty much all there is to it

While it will fly even if you attack the head, it usually it is the aerial curbstomp, which will still place you at it head if you dodge backward when it drop, instead of the otherside of the map with the other flying attack
You cannot eliminate it moveset entirely, but it will force those dragon to use certain attack repeatively while lowering the chance for annoying one, giving you more time to stagger or kill it instead of going on a wild goose chase
