Is there any plans on inventory expansion. I'm sure this questions gets asked quite a lot, but I haven't found a thread that I've seen a response to it. Would love to here also any upcoming ideas you have for your game. Been enjoying the hell out of it. GREAT JOB!

Yeah I feel you I played the original RE1 with chris's ugly ass on the cover and it didn't even have auto aim at my friends house when I was 8 but that doesn't change the fact that the gameplay would be considered janky now.

He's probably the best candidate in the game for Aetheric Gate, but TBH I find Heavy Translocators seem to pop up a lot more often than Aetheric Gate, plus Translocators are fairly common loot/buys, and I've never seen Aetherstride outside of already equipped on a spellcaster. So you're much more likely to for instance end up early on or even at all with a solid Paladin who only needs a Heavy Translocator for all your boarding needs, and/or regular Translocator to be a decent disruptor/looter, than an Archmage with Aetheric Gate and Purify who fills the same niche, etc. And other than Aetheric Gate and to a lesser extent a handful of other instant cast spells, there's really no advantage having your Archmage carrying the spell vs. some random scrub with a spell slot back on the ship.

Even tho HT is more common (mainly because necrophage drops it) aetheric gate is still tied for most broken item in the game if you can get it. If I'm playing witch or archmage I tend to prioritise psyker stores over equipment stores until I get their slots filled anyways. The main issue with aetheric gate compared to HT is there arent that many good units to put it on. Iv been pretty much exclusively playing Witch recently (Im close to beating every ship on torment 12 with her) and one issue that keeps popping up is that if I choose to equip rejuv, purify or blood bolt, Im essentially locking myself out of one of the best aetheric gate users. Not only that but she has frequently been the weakest link in my boarding party even when she does get aetheric gate which pretty much never happens with wight or archmage.

I wasn't really impressed the one run I tried the archmage. Yes he can eventually equip two normal spells (after you find/buy two good ones), but... neither of those spells will ever be better than the innate spells from the other spellcasting commanders (all of which are much stronger than the closest equivalent). Almost all those other spellcasters get a second slot anyways.

Only thing he really has going for him is a higher HP stat than the other spellcasting commanders, or most other commanders period. But he gives you literally nothing in the early game unless you started with a launch bay, in which case I'd just pick one of the fully boarding-oriented commanders. And the majority of spells you could give him can't be cast mid-combat (unlike all those other caster commanders).

The only other spellcasting commanders with extra psyker slots are witch and wight. Imo there spells are nice but not valuable enough archmage cant easily match their utility with decent spell rolls. Death bolt is nice chunk dmg for low and mid tier units and decent spell interupt, but i find it doesnt make or break runs, especially considering how mid her stats are. Wight summon rotspawn is quite good but their usefuless can fall off very heavily on higher torment levels without proper synergy (obscene organ, terminus bands, etc). Sure there are other spellcasters with 2 slots you can buy but alot of these are very expensive to justify buying in the mid to early game compared to just paying 40 scrap to stick a rejuvanate and purify on archmage

Im not opposed to archmage getting a buff but I dont think an innate spell is the way to go. Maybe you could give him immunity to interuption or decrease cast time on him so that longer cooldown spells are less crappy on him. Personally, I think most of the long cooldown spells arent worth buying anyways but I suppose this would at least make him more appealing to newer players compared to witch and wight without making him too broken.

That is a classic example of why I sat we have "rubber rods" and did you notice the constant slack line as a result? Apparently the people on this thread can't fish either?

Exactly, I tried everything for 20 minutes to get the fish from 3-4m to 2m, I turned around, I lifted the rod, I pumped, I looked far down, nothing to do, 20 MINUTES !!! I was really pissed off

more steam achievements would be so cool, even though, i know no 1 cares about them,but i do.
