• This doesn't need to be copied, and can be ran directly from the file mentioned below but if they force an update, it can stop it from working. This way it will continue to work.

  Copy the entire StarRupturePlaytest folder (can be found by right clicking the game in your steam library > manage > browse local files... (its the folder you are in, when it opens, so step up a folder) Copy it to somewhere else, and launch the game using "StarRupturePlaytest\StarRupture\Binaries\Win64\StarRuptureGameSteam-Win64-Shipping.exe" instead of the original icon.
  
  This will launch the game without steam and no load files will be available, however you will be able to play that specific patch from the start again, and all new saves will work, (with a new bug of having to save it twice in game, (you will see this in game).

for those who have tried this and it didn't work, make sure you launch powershell as an administrator, I thought it didn't work for me until I tried launching powershell as an administrator, and even though my account is already an admin adding that extra step finally made the game launch for me again.
