That's rough for new players, but it makes sense that we'd get some catering to endgame players at some point, like how Walp hard is with the aoe reqs in the last one and negative id req in this one. Game can't be for new players in every single aspect. Lets get some actually difficult content in the new mode maybe?

Do you seriously call loadout achievements as something that caters to endgame players when the entire gimmick is basically just winrating with an association or status effect team? Even new players can do that if they had all the IDs. The only rough part about it is the pointless grind to get the IDs that some might only use once.

TRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU what caters more to endgame players is the fact we're getting RR1 Bokgak (one i missed because I joined in Oct of 2023 so i missed season 1 so that's based I hope I get the rewards I would of gotten if i did it first time). more RR content caters far more to endgame players or even an RR achievement system would go hard.

All modes have free weapons. Any class can choose any weapon. There is no separate conquest or rush with a closed weapon, for example.

you could try to edit your save by using some sort of hex editor

No, the only components on your ship that are controlled by crew, is your weapons with gunners. Nothing else controls anything.

There is a modifier "drones gain automatic targetting" that you can acquire through various means. There is an equipment for it, there is a ship enhancement for it, there is even atleast one unique crew that has it, which should in theory resolve this issue you are facing.

It does make air operations more challenging to use the wind option. If moving with the wind to get into position you have to remember to go one hex past your desired position and head back from whence you came to maximize air operations. With the wind only one aircraft can take off and only two can land, so useless for mounting an attack. Wind direction changes often too so just about the time you get headed into the wind the wind direction changes which means you have to pull aircraft off the line to keep on schedule or delay the sortie or change ship course which may not be available for several phases.

That mod is rather small, quite old, and most importantly, full of bugs. I wouldn't recommend it. But if you REALLY hate arthmoor so much, then use that "purist" thing together with a patch-patch:
