battlefield and medal of honor were both taking after call of duty which is their mother franchise basically, its normal, even though medal of honor predates it afterwards it took after it, battlefield 6 is using the same thematics as in call of duty 4 modern warfare, although all of these 3 franchises are good in their own way, call of duty, battlefield and medal of honor (which stopped releasing long ago), but call of duty is the top theres no comparison

How do I get my survivors to eat, and clear corpses

Thank you, I think I might have made a few mistakes, and had to shift the settings on my survivors and settlement. I think those *were* the corpses of the enemy, and I just forgot. Anyway, I had a corpse zone set up, but no one was doing anything.

Anyway, turns out that cooking can be really slow, so I had run out of food some time ago.

A VPN adds extra routing → usually +10–40 ms latency depending on distance/server load.

So in a fighting game with rollback netcode, the chain looks like this:

Base ping (your connection ↔ opponent’s) → e.g. 60 ms

VPN overhead → +10–40 ms (sometimes more if server is far)

Rollback frames → netcode tries to “hide” lag by rewinding/re-simulating frames; if delay > rollback window, you feel stutter/teleport.

Input delay frames → the game may buffer inputs to smooth things out (often +2–6f depending on settings/connection).

So if your opponent is on DSL + VPN, you might see:

60 ms (normal ping) + 30 ms (VPN overhead) = ~90 ms effective ping
Rollback window (say 6f ≈ 100 ms at 60fps) → right at the edge → jitter, dropped inputs, or “laggy” feel.

Basically:

VPN = usually +10–40 ms latency tax

Rollback = can mask ~3–6f (50–100 ms)

Beyond that = delays, stutter, desync.

adding wifi and you have a hell of a lot of what people complain on.
rubber banding when the CPU is completely green 5 bars and the ping says 50-80
In T7 I had like 33ms with that player. There is something wrong with routing in T8 system for some regions.
