what exactly classes determine in the game?

Somewhere in game, at least, yeah, you can technically pull up the class.dat file in any particular text editor and read it there.*

There's at least one class that does, iirc (recruitable male silkworms, murder moth morus or cotton can get them), oddly enough.

Checking the script files, there's actually eleven entries total that has it... the four fairies, slugs, snakes, and then what looks like a few unique leader classes (bodybuilder, doctor, etc.). The functionality's there, it's just the implementation isn't, heh. If someone really felt like it (I don't, ha!) they could probably add the information.

Not... entirely sure how it (adding learn = whatever to classes that don't have it, which I'm pretty sure makes the information pop up like it does for characters when you mouse over the name) would interact with promotions, tho'. All the classes that have that little bit of code don't promote.

... kinda' curious now, actually, Gimme a sec' to check, trying it on one thing to see what happens isn't that difficult... and looks like it's fine? Not noticing anything odd, game isn't screaming at me, no duplicated or unusually upgraded abilities. If someone really felt like putting in the effort, they could go through the classes and a learn = list to their first form and the information would show. Be a fairly hefty project, though (well, hefty in the sense it'd probably take a few days if someone tried to solo the process... would be a lot less trouble if there were folks to split it up between). I'd guess it's on someone's to-do list for whoever's handling the official translation efforts, ha.

* Though it's a little finicky as the names haven't been translated in the data so you have to kinda' guess which one you're actually looking at based on the class's code designation, which isn't always super clear.
