You cannot directly control what a delegated character will do. This reflects the reality of Chinese cliques at the time, where subordination was often more nominal than real.

I'm not sure Russia has the manpower anymore either. Mercenaries and imported soldiers from other countries indicate a manpower problem. They have been burning through their old Soviet era hardware for a couple years. I'm not even sure of the reliability of their nukes although given the distance they could probably wipe Scandinavia off the map.
But I believe all are part of NATO now which brings all of Europe into the theatre. US doesn't seem interested in getting involved in another war in Europe so would probably use it as an opportunity to grab territory themselves like Greenland or even possibly Canada.

Regarding Scandinavia being 'wiped off the map' by Russia, not realistic at all. We've been neighbors to Russia since 'forever', and know how they think and act. They've been 'friendly' for decades, but still send fighters across the borders which need to be chased off, they simulate bombing runs against military installations, they regularly jam GPS signals so that civilian aircraft are more used to using old fashioned navigational beacons like VORs, NDBs and DMEs than the actual GPS, and they keep hacking various official and private platforms not only in the Nordics, but worldwide.

Pro-Russian hacking groups always take the credit for the hacks, while Russia officially denies it. It's very transparent, while they pretend not to be (also like the current US administration).

Nordic countries are always diplomatic and 'look the other way' when Russia is doing this, but not anymore.

Most of Russian troops are now gone, mainly consisting of new conscripts with little to no experience, and most of their hardware is destroyed, relying now mainly on new things coming from the factories, as the Russian economy has shifted to a military one.

The Nordics have much more professional and advanced militaries than Russia (although that is kept quiet), and especially now that Russian hardware has proven to be much less effective than advertised, causing them to loose billion dollar contracts across the world, with how useless their tanks, anti-aircraft systems and fighters have proven to be in actual combat.

Russia is one of the most corrupt countries in the world, and their fake military and 'vranyo' mentality is a good example of that. Aircraft crashing since they used low quality rubber on the landing gear is a typical example of corruption in the military.

Also keep in mind that the Nordics are allied with other countries other than the NATO alliance, like the treaty with the EU and others:

The Nordic countries are the most democratic and peaceful countries in the world, and that life is highly valued here, and will be fought for with 'nail and tooth', so to speak. Whether allies will step in to help should we be attacked remains to be seen, but we are no longer expecting the US as a reliable ally, I'm sad to say (would love to be proven wrong). But the other allies can be relied upon, just as they can rely on us.

DE version? U mean german version of Unification? I only saw an english one. Playing in german right now anyways because u cannot connect into MP games with different languages...which is kinda lol

DE means Definitive Edition, as in this version. They're saying Unification works in this game. It has some UI issues, but it works.
