Well, I've been playing Icarus from the beginning and have seen all of its developments. In my opinion, as a beginner you don't have to buy everything that's available right away. The base game with the Olympus map is perfect for starting out. If you get bored with the Olympus map at some point, you can decide to buy another map. I would recommend the Prometheus map because of the Red Exotic Matter, though. The map itself also offers three new regions that aren't on the Olympus or Styx maps: the Swamp, the Lava Region, and the NULL Sector. You should get the Styx map last, as there isn't really much new there, but the missions there are very interesting. I'm a big fan of Icarus and have a lot of interest in its further development, so I've bought all of the DLC that has been released so far, even if I don't really use it, like the outposts, for example. But everyone has to decide for themselves.

One of the things I hate about co-op is that the game doesn't tell the cooperators if the host is in NG+ or which cycle. Nothing like playing my RL125 too, flubbing a dodge on Malenia and thinking, "Welp, no biggie. Not like I'll die," and then die on her first flurry of waterfowl despite 50VIG, medium/light armor, Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman, and crab.

Did everyone collectively forget how hard the game was when they first started playing? I only made it past the Tropics once every few runs when I got started, and that was on Tenderfoot even! To this day, I still lose a decent chunk of my runs specifically in Alpine, and that's fine. I appreciate the challenge. I've only beaten up to Ascent 2 so far. Every run I've taken on Ascent 3 has died in Alpine. Having peaked 3-4 times now post-Mesa including with REDACTED in my inventory last night before this massive nerf, I'm convinced Alpine was and still is still harder.

It's okay if Mesa feels difficult. You will get better and pretty soon it will feel trivial. Don't you all want that sense of pride and accomplishment when you overcome the challenge the new area provides?

I'm using the latest drivers. Oddly it was fine in chapter 1, started the second chapter 2 started.

Have you tried using Display driver uninstaller to completely remove the drivers and reinstall them once you boot back into windows? I always use this method for every driver release.

On some Reddit threads they also mentioned if you have an Asus board to update your bios as that helped. I have done that too, artifacts went away for a few hours and then I started noticing them again in chapter 3.

I’ll try the new drivers soon. But I also sent a support ticket for this and provided my DXDiag info. Have not heard back. Weird I can’t check the status of it either since I was able to submit one without a 2K account but apparently you need a 2K account to login to see the ticket.

I wonder if there's a possibility its heat or time related. In both our cases it hasn't started straight away.

I haven't done anything after updating the driver, I never had to tbh. I'll just wait it out and come back to it I think, I have an insanely good back log at the moment. I remember recently the Last of Us: Part 2 had a patch after a few weeks that literally doubled 5090 performance lol.

I have reported this to the devs on Discord right after the update. Hopefully it is fixed in next patch or update.
