I wanna push back on this point, it`s not about cheating, the problem is that kernel access can be abused in a bunch of ways (i`m not that knowlegable about this) but i can understand when that is just a deal breaker for people.

The best example i remember EA wanted to reserve the right to delete any of their pirated content on your pc, ofc in order to do that they have to scan everything on it... that`s just insane... imagine some random company deletes your saves or some random old games that you have saved in a random folder, blatantly abusive behavior to which the correct response is to pick up a weapon and go beat someone up. ofc billion dollar companies are not exactly easy to punish for indivuduals like us.

^so this is effectively a similar word of mouth issue that people are fighting for, just about ownership, digital rights and privacy.

I see. Yeah I don't know much about that stuff either. I guess it comes down to whether they trust these dev's or not? I don't know. I I just looked into it and saw there are instructions for dealing with this app if people feel the need.

I doubt the java cannot use offset-based memory-mapping.
Basically any modern software does so - and that's why a game can have an 20gb asset file and work fine on 8gb ram. In layman terms, you tell "load to the ram the file piece from cluster X to cluster Y".
Hard coded 2gb and 4gb limits are lazy-a.. solution for legacy stuff like 32bit and fat32.

I think the main problem is the game loads the whole map + all objects at the same time even if you are on the opposite side of the map, otherwise i can't explain why so much memory is used at beginning

I played through this world on another PC and there it worked. World 2 and 3 are working so far.
If it ever crashes again I'll try to disable ray tracing.
