The closest thing to makeing sense would be someone auto completing to railcannon when they meant railgun. Which would still suck being single shot and overkill but you can at least you know, aim at the target. That or the railcannon gets some significant reworking during this order, but I don't see that happening.

If a mod made by the devs is popular enough, why not integrate it? Being able to choose the exact promotion you want is something a LOT of people want, so why not make it an official feature so everyone who plays the game doesn't complain about it?

I have 700+ hours and guess how often I play with 2 classes. I haven't even tried it.

I played the game once by rules, did what I could and experimented and as you I was disappointed and fired many units because of bad level up choices. It took few early game restarts but I beat the game.

After that, I got the mod that gives you all the level up choices according to your unit level and never looked back.

Is it cheating? Meh, maybe if you really wish to punish yourself. But there's only 24h in a day and if you sleep well and work you don't get much time to try to level up 20 orc shamans to level 15 as you mention.

You're absolutely right. But it feels better if it's not a cheat you know? It's why I'm also asking for a stronger downside. So people don't think it's lowering the difficulty. Significantly reduced number of promotions might make a lot of people say current RNG version is the minmax choice because it helps with the early game a LOT and that's the hardest part of the game.

here is another fanboy .... The problem is not in player base , GSC lies to us whit fake trailer , fake promises, fake reviews . Now the game come out unfinished , broken , buggy mess , poor optimisation and game braking bugs still here after near a year !!! I struggle to finish the game for second time !!!! Just the game is still unfinished , empty and boring !!!
And yes this game have NO soul !!!
The game runs bad even on top end PC dude !! And maybe his pc can't run STALKER 2 but can run thousand other games fanboy !!!
