It's ridiculous how hard DC and Marvel dropped the superhero ball in the gaming space.

There are only two REAL superhero series in the triple-A gaming space: Batman Arkham series, and the modern Spiderman series.

The rest are just other games with superhero skins. Marvel Rivals is just crap Overwatch (or whatever). Injustice is just Mortal Kombat with different graphics. And so on.

What if I want to play a DC fighting game set in the main universe? What are my options there?

Well I can download a Rom for Justice League Taskforce, a game which was released around 30 years ago. What I can't do is 'buy the game I want'.

Here are a list of games that are begging to be made, and have been for the last 30 years. Instead of these games we get Suicide Squad Vs the Justice League. It's possible some of these game exist but only on mobile. That doesn't prove I'm wrong, it proves my point that game companies suck.

- The Punisher (a boomer shooter with co-op campaign). Not a live service game. Basically Doom but with extra steps (like the ability to look up or down) This would cost PENNIES for Marvel to make but they refuse to do it for some reason.

- Various flight sims based on different heroes. Ace Combat would translate well as an Iron Man game, for example. The PS2 game from the Iron Man film did well at this, but that was almost two decades ago now. And it was basically one long cutscene.

- We should have a glut of Visual Novels based on Superheroes. We do not. The closest to this is probably the Telltale Batman series.

- Batman detective game. I mean actual detective work, not 'pressing a button then holding down another button then watching a cutscene'. And something where you CAN fail, and not just 'because the designer said so'. Something like the Monkey Island series, but serious.

- Speaking of Monkey Island and unserious gaming, how is there not like 10 different Deadpool comedy games? How did we never get *one single comedy adventure game with him in it*? We got a Deadpool shooter, but that can't be bought legally anymore.

- Wolverine stealth game. Bro has plenty of action games with half-arsed stealth elements. Not ONE Stealth game. Not ONE. That's ridiculous.

- Driving games based on iconic characters/vehicle combos. Where is our Ghost Rider racing game? There was a decent PS2 game from the GRfilm that had very limited driving sections, and that was about it. They REALLY can't chibify their most popular characters and do a Kart game to introduce the characters to kids?

- Aquaman game. You laugh, but then I say 'Imagine the midpoints between Subnautica, Ecco The Dolphin, and No Man's Sky'.

- RTS/Tactical game. You are Dr Doom or Lex Luthor, and the game is about all the little choices you make. Could work as strategy game, could also work as a Football Manager type game.

- I hate both of these things, but: Grand Theft Auto, but you play Homelander from The Boys. People could live out their sick little violent fantasies without being bothered by *checks notes* having to behave heroically in a superhero game. Look me in the eyes and tell me that wouldn't game sell in droves. Do it. You can't. Because it would.

I could keep going, believe me. But I shouldn't be ABLE to. We should be drowning in awesome comic book games.

But we aren't.

Which is why I will always come back to DC Universe Online - because there's nothing else quite like it. DCUO is the little engine that could, did, and kept on keeping on.

I will also begrudgingly compliment Champions Online for being too stubborn to die. Credit where it's due.

But mainly I want to praise DC Universe Online here. It's not perfect, but it's still around, and that means a lot to me personally.

To creator please update the game so you can delete a save file game.

Just roll for Last Elixer while using Wellspring Incense.
Combined with damage reduction and Mandrake you can trade with nearly every enemy.

The game is actually more fun on PS5 with crossplay off. IDK what it is but the game is way less sweaty over there and people play the objectives way more. Make of it what you will.
