what do i do to avoid the diamond attack though?

I have 5.184 hours mainly Titan. If I was to say between these two...Titan of course.

I think its a very visually appealing fight and much more challenging than darkdrift and the moth fight, that gets easily cheesed with aoe skill/spells that hit multiple time while under the scorpion, and darkdrifts patterns are very easy to dodge the exception being that one 8+8 blade slash if you didnt get enough distance, but the maw will F u over fast if u messup and theres more levels of complexity that stack on eachother with tornado/lightning/spring its a Proper everdark. I really hope the new ones we get are on the same level and they consider tuning up darkdrift on moth. (btw u can Ult right before he does the lightning storm 1shot aoe to cancel it, done it with raider havent tried wyld or ironeyes yet but bet theres will cancel it too.)

I don't think you get a flashlight in this one. I remember having to crouch under a wall at some point. If you hear a loud beep inside, you're probably close.
