Really awesome news. Thanks for listening and getting it all resolved.
It really was a vocal minority, so i feel like any other company could have been like whatever and just ridden it out, but you guys went with making everyone happy, so that says a lot.
Still doesn't feel so much like a "win" resulting from the backlash, when it got sorted fast enough that it feels like we could have just... asked.
It's been a humbling lesson in being patient and not overreacting, so, sorry again for the comments contributing to the false assumptions, cause all the corporate greed etc. points look especially stupid now.
Hope more people change their reviews back since the reasoning behind them technically doesn't exist anymore.

i would like to point out, as a very big fan of neon genesis evangelion, that this anime was never intended for children at all. the first minute of the first episode features a polaroid picture of an adult female character whose breasts are clearly emphasized. i would venture to say that one of the main themes in evangelion is sexuality, and how it's handled by prepubescent and pubescent teens. 14- and 15-year-olds thinking about ♥♥♥ is so common, in fact, that it doesn't even have to be emphasized in evangelion to be expressed fully. another episode features a 14-year-old girl begging a grown man to see her as an adult, whilst showing him her breasts. yet another episode has a 14-year-old boy fall over on top of an undressed 14-year-old girl (evangelion spoiler ahead),who is a clone of his mother, therefore making it almost incestuous, and his hands land directly on her breasts. an episode features a 14-year-old girl's breasts fully exposed, in fact, and in the original uncensored cut, everything is just out for the viewing.

evangelion is not for kids, and that's pretty much the point of evangelion. say what you will about the creator, hideaki anno, but teen sexuality is very much a theme of evangelion. credit where credit is due; having ♥♥♥ with kids is not glorified in evangelion, although there is a scene featuring an adult female kissing a 14-year-old male. it's hard to defend evangelion. lol.

with stuff like that it makes me wonder what level of cognitive dissonance i need to not feel apoplectic when a minor is sexualized in an anime. i want to like japan cause they make a lot of cool things but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥'s hard to justify pedophilia. that and the brutal censoring of any ♥♥♥ characters in anime due to highly religious, conservative standards so they gotta do these weird loopholes like with jojo where u just kind of imply it.

to be fair i see some modicum of improvement that gives me hope for japan's future but it's still ROUGH out there. especially how everyone is still glorifying anime from an age in japan where you could buy child corn off a street vendor (still probably can, it's just less open)

i really get the feeling that people want to ignore the sexualizing children part and endorse the meaningful or cool parts. and on the topic of anime censorship, i absolutely concur, as i had to sit through the entirety of jojo's bizarre adventure without seeing a single protruding bone, which i'm sure made you feel quite underrepresented as well. i've found it quite enigmatic how my fellow right-wing conservatives can simultaneously imbibe themselves with such good ideas as states' rights and such bizarre ideas as censoring homosexuality.

as "apoplectic" goes, i'm sure that most conservative politicians would feel nothing short of such a sensation at the sight of evangelion. oh, the woes of being part of a political group and looking around to see all of your compatriots acting like total fools. i suppose there's not much more to say other than pedophilia bad, censorship bad, people dumb.
