I think you misunderstood me slightly.
I said their "weakness" is their rather low damage. I wont even call it a true weakness. Just compared to other cap only sacreds in EA they are below average.
But as I pointed out, the whole package makes them one of the most cost effective cap only sacreds in the whole EA, maybe even the most cost effective one.
So many strengths. And no big weakness, besides having zero natural resistances.
About the Cu Sidhes, I meant that they are pretty glasscannon for an early game and cheap summon that can be massed easily. You get okish hitting summon with pretty good att/Def/HP. Coupled with a minor srrength bless and BS they are glasscannon in their role.

I understand your points about RW. I was a big fan of this bless myself after I bought Dom6. But after doing many test games and 1 MP game with this bless effect my preferences shifted completely back to BS.
-Your argument about mixing Tuathas with Cu sidhe sounds good in theory. In my games however I found it extremely difficult to make the timing work. Most of the time the cu sidhes would die in front and trigger RW just on themselves, meanwhile the bulk of tuthas would hold the line for a long time on their own, until HP morale loss triggers. You need to make the timing right and you need many non-Tuatha troops to make RW work on them which brings you dangerously near to HP rout every time.
- The whole thing " RW triggers when you need it, in even fights or fights you would otherwise lose" is only one half of the truth. How many battles like this you will see for the first 60 turns compared to battles you would win easily (and due to BS with less attrition!) or close battles where BS does trigger as well and helps you win them with less attrition ?
To me, TNN is a nation where you want to minimize attrition and you have so many tools together with some resistance blesses, that you should never be in a spot where you are downright and clearly losing a battle. You should end up in many close battles, especially vs veteran players ...and there I stand firm by my opinion that blood surge is better on average than RW. Not to mention it is much better on Thugs, And TNN is good at thugging.
- BS and RW are synergizing I agree here. You could do all bless effects I mentioned + RW, just skipping on Spirit sight. Since I play this with some other nations I never thought about taking it with TNN. It is certainly a good strat.

It is really frustrating to take Luck 3 and to end up with mostly bad events and / or no heroes for the first 20 turns or more, I agree.
I am using my own little mod for this in SP that makes the chance for the event to be good slightly better.
Ahh, yeah that makes sense, I did misunderstand you a bit at the start there. I'm not sure I agree about RW and BS, but to be fair I've always been kind of down on BS. It's worth looking into at some point, I'll throw it on the list of things to test.
