It's not even about playing in a way that trivialises difficulty. Elden Ring is a different beast in that you actually had options to make the game easier if you wanted.

PoE 2 developers made a choice to have the game be played a certain way. It's what they want and that's fine. I knew I would never find the game fun because they insisted in slowing the game down. Personally I like going fast in an ARPG, so I knew this would never be the game for me.

But my annoyance is where gamers insist that games are only good because it caters to their world view and nothing else matters outside of it. That's fine that it works for them. But insisting something is exclusively good because it only works for them is a narrow-minded view of the world.

every % increase calculation in the game is multiplicative, not just prestige perks

with the 50% melee from weapon perks, 30% with class, and 100% with prestige:

we'll reuse and start with the 25 melee damage example number, which is increased by 50% (12.5) and added to the number, that 37.5 is then increased by 30% (11.25), and then that 48.75 is increased by 100% to 97.5 melee damage dealt which is then affected by the damage resistance multipliers of the individual enemies hit by the attack

as far as i am aware and have been able to find, weapon perks are calculated before class perks, and prestige perks are calculated last

This new battlefield is basically just bf2042 but with a new skin or a rip off of any new cod which is why they want to just reskin everything yearly and rip fans off for $70 annually I'd say try it out on gamepass if it comes to it
