I go to use the taxi service, as before, but when it tells me to locate a destination point, no location appear on the map. If I go to the map to find out where I want to drive, they all appear; but not when I want to use the taxi. I have checked and re-checked, but it does not appear. I even started a new world, but it still does not appear.

Anyway the discussions here are usually full of arguing and negativity so thought people might appreciate a laugh. I didn't sink or anything but imagine my heart when I dropped it but didn't hear the splash.

I'm glad you had the balls to say it. I think the gaming community in general just prioritises negatives instead of positives way too hard. Just take a step back and look at how much effort has gone into this game and then compare that to the changes, not worth bringing the game down IMO.

As well as the classic sheep mentality where a lot of the changes aren't anything like what is being reported on at all but people just cling onto it and run. Take the gore for example. People are rioting because the gore is nothing like it was... That is completely incorrect. The truth is the gore is actually the exact same, the only difference is that you can no longer mutilate dead bodies e.g shooting limbs off a dead body. Graphics I'm still not 100% about, the game looks great but i don't run on max settings.

And finally the cencorship. I do agree that it is a bit of a bummer that the grittiness of the game is what made it popular but covering naked people and stopping a child from having a seizure is really not a big deal at all

The problem is that this forum has become nothing but one big echo chamber, regardless of the actual facts of the matter, and any attempt to bring some semblance of rationality or nuance to the conversation automatically gets you labelled a "shill" or a secret Void forum operative by the pitchfork-wielding mob.

Yes, many questionable decisions have been made, and people have every right to voice their opinions about changes being made to the game. There are many legitimate complaints. But just as you say, regardless of whether or not they should have been made in the first place, those changes are nowhere NEAR as extensive as people would have you believe, and yet they continue to propagate this narrative that "everything dark and gritty has been removed from the game."

I'm hoping some modders start putting some of their own content into these new solar systems :) How about a planet filled with dinosaurs, or Mega-fauna from the Ice age?

I bet you my mother that there are millions of kills, but since you cannot target it and it always go for the biggest target in the area, its pretty idiotic order because its not really in your power to complete it .. its rng objective and rng is always bad for gameplay

Its no matter, he payed money to get what was promised, if you dont get it in the end, he can say its a scam all he want, and next time he will not buy early access, which fair developers hope on. That's the problem with early access and steam must do something about it.

And why should Steam do anything against it? If he had 300 hours already he most likely buy it before the voting for Cartel was even in the game so he dont buy it to get this.
Delays can happen and happen with big movie studios and game developer studios all the time.
You will always just give a expacted date. But since things can go wrong this date can get delayed so thats just how things are in this industry.

Duke Nukem Forever had developers with expierience in this field with firms like Gearbox Software, Piranha Games and Publisher 2K Games. They are all well known firms in the industry while Tyler is completly new.
Wanna know the delay their? April 1997 announced, released June 2011.
Portal? Planned release december 2010, release april 2011.
Alan Wake? Microsoft just show the PC version for years. 2009 they announced XBox 360 only. August 2009 announced game is ready, just a little bug fixing. Release may 2010.

Their are a lot more exemples with big game studios with hundreds of workers which delay games for over half a year. You buy it in Early Access which mean its still in development. That people are crying then that development need time or like you just say its abonded is absurd. If you want a complete ready game buy a complete ready game. I mean just think about how many years Satisfactory and 7 Days to Die stand in EA before they get ready. Still they where funny to play in EA already.

With the hidden caveat that for driving the completed car, if you ever hit 88mph, it starts you back at the beginning or near then end but it's 75%/25%.

I had just thought of havin' an achievement which would be called "Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads" that ya'd unlock after reachin' 88mph but havin' ya go back to the beginning is actually quite funny aha

I assumed there was a longer road to more substantial improvement before release.
The really doesn't feel like any difference between 'tutorial training' and 'live command'. The graphics and challenges [as a function of map layouts and events] need significant separation.
