Unmodded, the sound queues still break at high enough intensity. So whatever you got there is unrelated.

You keep on using the word childish. Have you even played them past the first island/area/tutorial? There's more to the characters than just "fighting strange looking bosses" and "girl in scarce clothing" (seriously, what's the big deal? It's just character design) and "man with machine gun arm", Well, at least from II onward was the attempt and by the fourth game it got better and better. Well, besides V and VIII and from X-2 onward the story took a nose dive.

Seriously with you describing only VII is that the only game you have been playing? Or was it the remakes? No wait, just Remake. Because I've heard sit ups and push ups.

Seriously, they're not childish. They're often times more lighthearted because of their target audience. And I feel like XVI doesn't justify its gameplay for its target audience. It wants to be an Action RPG and a Hack and Slash game too. Skills unlock way to slow and I've been playing the game as if the bosses don't even matter. What's the punishment (reward) for not defeating the boss in the second phase? Don't worry about it, go on in the second phase and have your full restock of potions.

I think you like an easy game with a darker story. The emphasis on dark. Many Final Fantasy games have mature stories but not as dark as XVI. That's okay but please, in the future don't brush them off as childish. We're not in the 80's/90's anymore where videogames were solely seen as a child-only thing (at least where I live).

Is FFXVI "darker" than FFVII?

well if we are going with dark as illumination, FFVII literally starts you in a city where sunlight doesn't hit, so FF7 is darker.

If we are going with the theme, what is darker? Terrorists that is willing to blow up power plants, corporate overlords that is willing to kill huge number of people for their personal PR move, human experimentation, psychological trauma, most major character losing their family members, genocide, etc etc etc.

I don't think FFXVI comes close to being dark as FF7 in terms of story or theme.

Too bad what happened to Wolcen, i was one of the many who believed in the game and got frustrated that the devs abanoned the game. But PVPvE? How about servers with pvp, pve and pvpve? So everybody is happy since the devs are listening to the people now :)

Oh yeah it's super unrealistic to expect the devs to have an actual metabolism system when they advertise such. It's just way too much to ask that the game resembles a survival experience when it boasts "hardcore realistic survival" and then you can drink sea water for hydration because that metabolism system is just a bunch of UI bars that change colors and do nothing more.

Yeah it's hilarious people will defend this game after all the hype that has been drummed up over the years and then just about none of it was ever put into play. But I'm sure the sycophants will be able to do some mental gymnastics about the dwindling player numbers and the reviews tanking.
