I love a lot about the game, but I feel like it starts to fall off a little.

I get why the pacing starts to feel different in the later parts.
I played the game without using any guides. just exploring everything on my own, one side quest at a time.
When I hit the Great Desert before unlocking the tower and camps, I ended up wandering around forever.
Eventually, I had to use Photo Mode to check where I could jump or climb, because some paths just weren’t obvious at all.

This game isn’t a full open world.
Sometimes you see a ledge or a wall and think, “I should be able to go there,” but nope not yet.
Usually, you’ll come back after a quest or story beat and find that the path is suddenly open.
The devs clearly designed the flow intentionally, so sometimes it’s best not to overthink it.

Combat-wise, I’ll admit it took a while to click.
Slash, slash, parry—ugh, mistimed again.
At one point I just said, “Screw it. I’m gonna shoot everything.”
Switched to a ranged-focused build, boosted long-range damage, added extra ammo, and slotted that 10-second post-kill damage buff.
Throw a bomb, shoot everything—done. Way easier than stressing over perfect parries.

I finished my first playthrough in about 159 hours—no guides, just exploring and figuring things out on my own.
Now I’m in New Game Plus, mostly revisiting places to collect the stuff I missed and unlock the remaining endings.
Even after finishing the first run, there’s still a ton left to find and do.

If a zone feels confusing or overwhelming, try adjusting the contrast in the settings.
It can make items and paths stand out a lot more.
And don’t underestimate Photo Mode—sometimes it helps spot climbable areas or hidden paths that you just couldn’t see from the default camera angle.

And hey—if you’re feeling burnt out, take a break.
Go fishing with Clyde at the oasis. If you catch a big fish with special bait, you can trade it for some solid rewards.
Or just goof off. Float around on the giant duck, kick water balls, or just chill and watch Eve swim.
Sometimes you don’t need a guide or a grind—you just need a little space to enjoy the world for a bit.

I'm currently taking a break from the PhotoHunt quest—still got two more fish to go.
Just dropped by to write this comment.
Who knows... maybe you're actually an NPC, and this is a secret side quest I just stumbled into.
