Every time I try to play this game there is some new reason why it wont launch. ♥♥♥♥ it. Ill just play something else. I barely ever play this anyways.

In HD1, entire wars wrapped up in 1-2 months with factions being beaten back to their home planets and then completely removed from the board. Or we were beaten back to SE and lost the planet. HD2 is essentially whack-a-mole with zero meaningful progress.

the reason for that is simple: HD1 is a war that resets on semi-fixed intervals, HD2 is intended to be a continuing narrative that doesn't reset. you could argue an HD1 style galactic war would be better, but we aren't getting that at this point so that's a line of thought I have no interest in. as things are right now the whack-a-mole game we're playing is an objectively better designed system for the game the developers are trying to make than an HD1 style system would be. whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is a matter of personal opinion, but for better or for worse we are stuck with the current system almost certainly until the game's eventual death.

Battlefield 6 is not going to compete with this. The two games could not be more different.

I have not had any issues as a Melee Heavy and Sledge just got its heavy attack returned to its former damage. The light attack is still nerfed but it's also had a few other adjustments that help its light swing out a bit. Even when sledge was nerfed, it was still viable, just not the best pick. Ranged is still king, mediums are still viable. Play as a team and you will beat most other teams that don't.

While playing solo this game runs super fine (except the autosave freeze, hate that thing, can we have customizable autosave interval? I swear this always happens when I try to aim at something rushing at me and I always misses due to that) but when I play with 2 friends the performance is really bad, I'm at 20-30fps constantly (on AMD 9 7950X3D, RTX4090) with dips even below 20.

I have tried to run a dedicated server (all ports forwareded fine, I always host a dedicated server for us when we play, be it minecraft, sons of the forest, terraria, 7 days, etc), managed to create a prospect on it (prometheus), but they couldn't join it (they do not own the dlc, could that be a reason?), so they join my game session for now.

Is there something I can do to "ease my suffering"? It's really hard to be meaningful party member with such fps, it's hard to aim and fight.
