This game has been ported to a heap of 8 and 16-bit systems, but it was originally written for the Commodore PET and its text-mode. You can buy that version direct from the developer.

While the DOS version may have graphics, I do have to wonder if a conversion to use the PC's text-mode might be possible.

Beta weekend 2 starts tomorrow, about 16-18hours from now iirc. But you can sit in menu etc which will still show you as "ingame"

A little over 600 hours in WH3.

Come on.. He has 4090 and 7950X3D and you really suggest lowering the setting? I tried what you said when it first discovered, and i only got 4-6 fps. Map stuttering and low fps in battles are 2 different things, and all occurs because of the engine. Please don't repeat same things like "give us your hardware specs" or "lower your settings..." The game is clearly broken (i don't even talk about multiplayer desync issues..) and you just keep selling dlcs. As a huge fan of you for years, i won't trust you anymore at this point...

I ask that because the Animation is CPU Bound and lowering the Animation Quality reduces the number of frames used for animating and frees up the CPU. I ask that because in their case they specifically mention Framerate Drops in Combat, when changing between Units. I ask that so I can further narrow down which system is responsibly for the throttling and figure out what we can do about it.

Not sure if this was ever solved, but I did find that I did not get the first scene after level 3 strength training. I checked my saves back early on in the game and found that, when I raise strength to level 3 after day 7, I skip right over level 3 training and go to level 4. Not certain what caused it but It definitely kept me from getting to strength level 10 as I was only able to make it to level 9.
