I just hope respec will be near free at beginning and later less so, as I like building up characters and not tailoring them to particular bosses. But If all else fails, you can always grind for better gear. That is the basic of the game.

I used a fire staff that I technically didn't use (mainly for stats) and both magic masteries. With heavy armor, so dodging was not a thing, barrier kinda either. Still beat it with just potions. Specced in all skills, just so I have some kind of rotation for the fingers.

The SS1 remaster is the enhanced edition from 2015.

The SS1 remake is from 2023.

There is a big difference between a remake and a remaster.

Remakes are often bigger-budget productions and are likely to be more expensive.

After restarting, have to say that was a mistake. Devs you guys really set up a hard lot to get players interested. Did the lil tutorial, neat enough. Will say this: ESPECIALLY because its a tutorial, getting two shot by that sister enemy WILL make people leave the game and refund. Thats a quit point. Doesnt matter you warn them ahead of time. Theyll see that and go 'oh ♥♥♥♥ this'. Thats just a dumb thing to add in the tutorial in my opinion.

I think my biggest gripe is how weak the base guns feel. TTK is abominable to begin with, gun flavor text still lies about what the gun can do. (it states what the gun will be able to do, not its weak ass start). Here I am in my collection of guns and for once in a game im thinking to myself 'damn these all are kinda ass'. and if I after playing the game before think that, what would a brand new player think?

Finally I still think Gnosis is a failed system that makes the game harder to properly balance. I keep seeing the thing of 'you can make it harder when you want 'as they can massage themselves which, really, isnt true because you need gnosis to progress almost immediately in fact. I feel like that entire thing could be taken out, when you hit a new map it just reflects the new systems on the maps already completed and no one would be worse for wear. Really seems like a weird artifact left of from a failed system. Back to what I was saying before, this fluidity between levels is not useful to the devs nor the players.

Some of the best, good players would say, "Play support and you will have a perspective on the gameplay. It will make you a better tank and DPS."

Because support player get to see everything. If you know how to play support, you can play Tank and DPS. Because it's the only role in the game that needs to learn how to damage, heal, counter, live/survive, and push with ultimates.

I am not saying support players are superior, or deserve some kind of disingenuous sympathy. It's all about working around each other and helping one another.

Definitely Escape from Tarkov Singleplayer mod if I ever have access to strong PC. Otherwise, Swat 4 First Responders mod.

I think First Responders is more better with improved weapons and animations, focusing more on tactical play while SEF mod focus more on quality of life, adding more stuffs around the environment of the maps. Idk, i simply feel FIrst Responders is better.

I was confused with Rainbow six 3 too but the game actually doesn't force you to plan on the map. You can just use one member of the squad, set up the loadout and then go in alone. There are also some modes you can choose like T-hunt or escort VIP or escape the area... But you will need to install required patches, mods.

I picked Tarkov as my fav because how hard the game is with in depth the guns, bullets and armors is (until some recent changes). Haven't touched Tarkov since 2 years ago so maybe if I ever have a chance, I will be experiencing this game with singleplayer mod again
