That being said while games keep getting cheaper, Gamers(TM) keep getting more entitled, loud and annoying. The game market has never bloomed so far and wide, with almost endless games at all price points (including free) to enjoy... but somehow it's the games that costs hundreds of millions of dollars to develop they want for cheap.

that's not even the truth, they want said games to ACTUALLY be worth 60$, ala not be buggy, horrendous messes at launch, not be incredibly low quality in terms of story and the like (if your building a world, you don't want to shove everything into a melting pot at once, you want to gradually build your stuff up overtime, it's basically the frog in a pot situation), and actually be fun from start to finish at the bare minimum.

ah yes the ol, "i had it hard so new players must have it hard to" argument. its not a slap in the face it is just an evolution. That line of bs thinking is why hazing and other stupid stuff exists in the first place such as good ol boys, back in my days, and people are soft now. It is a great change and will encourage people to engage more in fighting each other due to reducing the resource penalty for dying.

I mean, it does have a lot of "codslop" vibes... perhaps due to the choice of maps we were given to play with (I mean really, Empire was a stupid move as the week 2 map when they'd already overtuned the shotguns making so many people play as if it's cod).

I hope they think real hard about making sure the next 5 release maps are actually large scale throwbacks to proper Battlefield. Not to mention address the many small details of the gameplay which make it cod-like.

All that said, I do quite enjoy the 3 first week maps at least a majority of the time, even though there's maybe max 10 people at any time playing them like one would play battlefield rather than cod.

The problem is in battlefield 2,3,4, and 5, there was specifically one infantry focused conquest map. Great wall in 2, metro in 3 and 5, and op locker in 4. All the other maps were huge and had ass tons of vehicles. In BF6, we know at least 3/9 maps are 100% infantry focused. That's far too many and represents a huge departure for the series no matter how you feel about it.
