This game is no where near finished.

Only way I've found to avoid this is open any menu during the storm, so the storm effects don't display on screen, and don't trigger the GPU overheat.
Leaving the map open is convenient as you can see when the storm is gone and you can resume the game.

But it is known that 40x series GPUs coupled with 13/14th generation CPUs have a lot of stability issues with games running with UE4 and UE5 engines.

Im not sure if its cpu because i have 7800x3d and have same issues. I also do the alt tabbing most of the time when the storm passes.

For now I just wanna add, it's noteworthy that when the reviewer in that video above explored further and took up more advanced missions, he very obviously warmed up to the game in a big way, even calling it a good next step from City of Heroes.

The missions looked like a lot of fun, the world of the F.H.S. Justice looked amazing, and powers looked fantastic (and were simultaneously less overwhelming and "in your face" than many superhero games I've played).

It's weird that the poster above presented that video as proof of too much jank, maybe he didn't watch the whole video. Even for the reviewer, it was only a case of some minor issues that he guessed would be easy to clean up.

I'm not making this up, by the end of it, that dude's review actually took me off the fence about the game. SoH is definitely joining my list of superpowered haunts.

I watched the entire video, he's not bashing the game, he's pointing out the major issues as well as the lack of polish with the game. Not saying its crap. Which mirrors my opinion as well from what I saw. A game with a lot of potential, but very very VERY unpolished/unrefined. If you thought I was here just to bash the game, you were the one that needed to actually read all the way to the end.

Fiber- far away from being useless. Even if you don't seel it ion market, you will need quite a lots to craft filters used for water traps. I can easy use about 1 to 2K in a week.

It is like I say, the examples you give are perfect, the main thing, but what mechanics is used in game for us to play with, theres nothing fun on get copper just to give it to Landraad, or transforming Fiber in filters, that cannot be sold, or used to make another objects, theres nothing fun done on the Dune game for the player to play around with the objects, like crafting transporting selling, like playing around with stuff in game.

LOL, no, I played Arena on release. I think I was running a 486 at the time. This was back in the days of sound cards not being integrated and 500MB HDDs were like $600. I was in my 20s.

It's a myth. I tested it. Cutting power does nothing. I flooded an entire compartment (after torpedo room) on the surface using the leak command. No equipment got damaged despite power on or off. I didn't fix the leak in the room, mind you. I dove to 50m and equipment took damage. Why? Pressure. The internal pressure went above what the devices can withstand. What actually damages equipment is pressure and not the water itself.

Removing power from sections of the the boat saves so little energy it's negligible. You're better off just not bothering with it.
