maybe this is where i should point out that im a solo, guildless, PvPvE player (primarily PvE)

unfortunately the only use of the thumper is to call the worm to eat players and vehicles alike - some might use it as a roleplay prop (fanatics feeding shai-halud), some might use it as a deterrent (go away or risk being eaten) and some may use it as a weapon (bye bye ornithopter) all these are parts of PvP and the PvP zone

so it comes down to what people believe is an acceptable use of a thumper - each person may come up with a different conclusion but that doesnt make any one use more or less acceptable then the rest

as for me personally:
when i go into a PvP zone - i expect to be rocketed if seen by a PvP player (its a good learning experience and it brings the deep desert to life)
if i die and my ornithopter is sitting there - thumper it to oblivion
if i forget my taxes or power goes out - i expect other players to demolish or take over my sub-fief (since it would be a consequence to my own lack of action)

It's not because it prevents them spawning at their thopter, because even if they did, they were running and posed no threat to the attacker.

Also destroying their thopter and their equipped gear does not prevent them from spawning at their spawn beacon, which is something an attacker would have already done.

The only reason to thumper instead of to use rockets is to utterly destroy and disgrace their victim because the worm destroys EVERYTHING in their inventory and on their person, but destroying with rockets only wears them out a bit more, which is why the thumper was used and why it is griefing and this is which has contributed greatly to killing the playerbase in this game.

so you first deny the reasons for why i personally would use a thumper because you disagree with it....

then you bring up respawn beacons, for what purpose..... are they there to fight or not at that point....

and finally you imply that the only use of a thumper is to "utterly destroy and disgrace their victim" that might be how you would use a thumper but its not the reason why everyone uses a thumper

based of that ill no longer be engaging in discussion with you, all your posts lead me to believe all you want to do is exaggerate the situation making it out to be worse then it was

a player went into the PvP zone and got attacked then came to forum to complain they got attacked - its that simple

Not planning a save feature for campaign is honestly baffling. it's like forgetting to add checkpoints to a game. It's core design for 25 years now.
