This is a world where everything is arbitrary nonsense when compared to reality. A world where you can cook a soup dish, then dismantle it to get your ingredient back.

That's the entire point: the design choices are fun and funny because it kicks common sense off a cliff. It gives you the freedom to do what you want, to experiment, and to learn. Then it rewards you for your learned knowledge.

It's dumb and needlessly restrictive to abide by real life common sense. Since if you want to abide by that, you can apply it elsewhere (real life) to be rewarded with your learned knowledge.

Going by that definition, seeing a fully healed spy with full ammo stealing health and ammo packs is quite sad.
