You do you as others will do themselves. Expect the encounters to run the gamut and if they seek to win at all costs... that is their burden to bear.

I think the player bias is why the Empire Faction campaign is the most enjoyable in the game, you are literally surrounded by everyone and everyone that you are not allied to will eventually attack you.
It's like playing whack a mole as the empire, typically you finish off either Festus or Vlad and then someone else declares war upon you and the dominos start to fall.
I was surprised when Gorbad Ironclaw declared war upon me, sent five armies packed with waaaghs into the Empire, who promptly all got killed after sacking a couple of minor settlements and then the Dwarfs declare war upon him and wipe him out because he has no armies.
That's the only thing that makes the player bias stupid really, the A.I leaving no armies to defend itself with next to a hostile faction. Seems to be weirdly hard-coded to try and wipe you out no matter the cost.

That isn't player bias — that's just the position the Empire is in. The AI Empire is attacked by everyone eventually all the same, if it doesn't get wiped out. Same for when the AI go all in on an attack and open their flank; you could just as well be the Dwarfs in that scenario. In my current campaign (Durthu), I attacked Morathi while she was laser focused on Ulthuan, I got to do some damage without resistance all the same, until she moved armies from Ulthuan. The only difference from your example is that she was kicking the High Elves arses instead of losing to them, so she had armies that could still retreat.

I'll say it again: anti-player bias got nerfed to insignificance a long time ago. Most of the things you guys perceive as anti-player bias isn't anti-player bias, and this is a clear example. These are scenarios that are just as likely to happen in a scenario where the player isn't participating.
