None of the main bugs are fixed. The loot boxes that you said would be gone and replaced are still there.

UDK, which is a scripting engine, not the full UE engine, is based on 3. I believe that it was discontinued before UE4 was released and no upgrade path was created for it. So it's would be a complete code rewrite. There is 10 years of code, that is a lot!

So, if you have good knowledge of UE4, which I believe is C++ and you can look at the code and rewrite it all based on what is written in UDK script, that would make it easier. There is 10 years of development and upgrades there, I would assume that is LOT of work. I'm not a games dev, and there are people here who know more about UDK and UE4 than I do, so they might be able to give a more educated opinion on this.

Why not just go for 5 if you are going to have to do a complete rewrite? I can imagine it would look even better with all the new hardware support.

Yes. But 10 years ago you could of moved to 4.

You used to do updates every 6 weeks. Then it went to 2 months. Then 3 months EXT

Now it 6 plus months.

Almost all games' all time peak happens at launch or after a recent game breaking update, like cyberpunk 2077 or no man's sky, then it drops, eventually hitting a minimum of 20K+.

Baldur's Gate 3, the GOTY with 875343 all time peak, now with a minimum of 40K+. "Where do all those players go? To different timezones?" Maybe take a look at how stupid you look too.

At what point does this stop? Will we be losing all online access to games removed from steam? What occurs when a game is pulled from sale but is still popular? I know I still have access to several games that have 'died' however, none of them 'function'. I didn't care so much about them because they were free (example: super mecha champions) however it's clear that both COD and GTA are next, which means any games derived from the core idea of those games are ALSO on the chopping block.

Will steam be looking into running it's own payment processor specifically for steam-users to buy legal games and content in their country or do we need to start re-orienting our entire lives toward the open seas?
I prefer to pay for my content but if it's just going to be stolen from me or disabled I'll settle for playing through my backlog as I watch the internet get destroyed.
