Hear me out. Not bashing the game. I'm a True Grounded Fan and have hundreds of hours in Grounded.

Honestly this game has been out for years Grounded 2 is just an extension of 1 so basically most of all the basic content and mechanics are there Granted its a new world/map, but you know what I'm talking about.

The main thing is I'm crashing left and right. Stock game no mods (If there are any even out there) i9, 4080, 64gig etc and I crash so much I spend more time saving.

So my whole point to this is. Where is everything? I can't get lint, Pine Cones and so on. Why? This was in the game. No Zip lines they were in the game and I can keep going on. I'm starting to feel this a stripped down Grounded 1 even to the point it feels like a Demo. You know how Demos are you can play the game, but are limited to what you can do and progression and upgrades are limited. But when you have ALL the items already and working, but removed them for Grounded 2.

Then the little things like wooden stairs when stacked have this large gap between them. You dip into the wooden floors, stuff doesn't set correct on wooden floor. This was all working in Grounded 1 what happened?

Bugs under map, under plates, in rocks all the time. This was not an issues in Grounded 1. I had a wolf spider doing flips and going into wall and the floor in a cave. Never seen anything like this before.

I'm not going to keep going those who played Grounded 1 know what I'm talking about.

To be honest and this is my opinion, but it just feels this was slapped together, thrown out there and will add stuff later... the stuff being the stuff that was already in the game in Grounded 1. Why would you hold back on these things? Like I said it really feels like a demo more than a game.

I'm not excited about the road map as most of it is stuff that was already in the game... nothing new just stuff that should of been in the game. Give us something New and Shinny that makes us excited and can't wait for it to be added, not stuff that was in G1.

Think of it like this.... You've had this car for years and it runs perfect, drives perfect without any issues, then the dealer says "Hey let me give you the latest model car" So you get this new car, but its missing the bumpers, mirrors, door handles, back seat, trunk lid, hub caps, paints faded and scratched. You ask the sales person where all missing items are my other car had all of this and was perfect. Dealer says "Don't worry we'll add it later just take it and enjoy" Get my point?

I'm not going to write a bad review I'm going to wait because I know this is a rock solid game they proven it with G1. I just hope they get their S together and get these features that were already in G1 and get them into G2.

Well thats all I going to say and again this is my opinion on how I feel, but when the game doesn't crash I'm having fun and loving the buggies.

As much as I don't really understand the gratuitous criticism, I don't understand this attempt to defend the fact that the game has an dangerous gameplay loop already that is close to running out of steam.

I think we have to be realistic; anyone who's played certain games that are completely co-op/PvP-focused knows very well that such a "low" population, combined with lobbies that still require 20 players to start a game, is anything but a good sign, especially at launch.

So, of course, console players have to be taken into account, but if Steam has such a "large population", I don't think we're far from the console side either.

The idea, the concept, and the atmosphere are excellent, but something is missing for the game to go viral.

Its gameplay leaves very little room for "casual fun," which simply divides the community in two. Those who will try hard with four players, and those who won't necessarily want to try hard.

In both cases, there are two factions that will quickly get bored if the population isn't renewed.

Also, I think we overestimate the number of console players who really want to play with PC players on this kind of game

I completely agree but the fact they're very likely going to ignore all this feedback is telling I think for where the motivation of those who have the power to make change happen lies and they're not that different from modern Blizzard after all.
The company like many others is just going to waste developer's hard work over and over until something sticks and makes ridiculous and undeserving amounts of money through some sort of catchy marketable low effort model and scrap huge amounts of quality work if it doesn't achieve this.
Virtual currency models like the one in this game are a self-report to anyone who sees through them.
This is what "live service" means.
"Buy" the overpriced game you don't really own only to have it shut down at the whims of some out of touch person without an offline mode or community hosted servers.
I'd love to be proven otherwise but we've seen this too many times.
