I tried the block knife. I don't think I'm ever gonna use another melee weapon on any class with the combat knife available ever again. It hits like a truck, it's got decent speed, cleaving potential doesn't really matter- I love the thing, and I deeply regret hating on block in the past now.

My brain is strange. I loved the blocking chain sword before it slowed down. I learned how to block with the weapon, but for some reason I don't like the knife for irrational reasons. Somehow I don't think the sound effects are that great. When I'm in sleeping mode, I know when I've just done a combo with the chainsaw, but with the knife, everything sounds the same somehow. I need some kind of acoustic stimulus or indicator because after an hour, I somehow stop paying attention to the animations. But I also think the knife is pretty good, and somehow I actually like blocking best in terms of playing style.

Enemies follow roads. Make 4 roads going out of your village in the 4 cardinal directions. The endpoints should be at the distance the portal spawns. Connect the endpoints with a large circle road. Watchtowers are more important than to just have coverage over the town. Villagers also get security bonuses with more than one tower covering their house/workplace. With enough well placed towers you can even defend against an invasion with just archers. You are Min-ing your towers, but you are not Max-ing your benefits.
