Well, not exactly. As you said, you can use it to get someone out of a car, but there are no circumstances implemented in which you can discharge it. But this is actually realistic - most LEOs go through their entire career without discharging their service weapon outside of the range.

Is that realistic for this fictional version of Boston? No, given how many perps run and are carrying weapons, and the fact that there are crime scenes which involve people getting shot, and wanted people that are described as armed, it seems to me that there absolutely should be times when the need to guard one's life or lives of others with lethal force prevails.

But what I'm trying to say is, this isn't a bug, or something that they see as needing to be fixed. It is a deliberate, conscious design choice. They don't want to depict death or serious injury. That is a catch-22 though, you can't implement American police without sidearms - taking the sidearm out of the game would cause more community anger. So the compromise is to keep the sidearm but limit it to being pointed.

I agree with you, they need to open the game up for modding more than skins, names, sirens, and lightbars.

How many of you are on Windows 11 24h2? There is something about 24H2 that no longer plays nice with Connect even though it used to work just fine with Win 11 and still works just fine with Windows 10

130 hours without any start up problems or even a crash on Win 10. Odyssey is also have a slow start up problem with 24H2 that's not happening with Win 10 and it is also a Connect problem with 24H2

Windows 11 = Windows 8 = Windows Vista = Windows Junk
