There's a lot of calculations that happen in the background whilst loading into a location and we didn't want to slow down those any more than necessary with extra details as not all systems load or process information as quick as others.
We also have to consider that some players may not wish to have their screenshots included as it can fall into murky legal territory with regards allowance to use their screenshots.
Lastly, if we load in a screenshot that isn't anything relatable to the location a player is loading into, that could appear confusing too. Loading into Prescott whilst showing a picture of Alpha Draco Thermal Plant would potentially be confusing and also spoilery.

I'll say that the first day, before teams were randomized, Russia utterly stomped Japan. I played Japan in my first two rounds, then swapped to Russia - all eight games were entirely one-sided in Russia's favour.

After it randomized, I found it far more even, with Japan actually getting more overall wins for me during the event than Russia, though that could also be due to the hours I played and who got which team. I personally enjoyed Japan's weaponry more, sans the aircraft, which I felt were horribly balanced (Japan deserpately needs a better BR2 attacker in general), though part of that has to do with Pacific carrier rules and Russia getting to start in the sky from the word go.

iam extremly disapointed about this update
for me it is :
waste of time and effort and ressources
there was a mod that did exactly the same
we could pay some money and change the relation within factions
between factions themself and our relations to them ...
this mod was about 3 MB or something

we basicaly got the same now, just with some additional stuff noone needs
we did not needed all this missions to change relations or get some inventory items, nor even we need an agent that we have to level via missions.
all this is such an annoing overdue that dosent bring the game any forward.
not in case about a story. not in case about the universe, and the progress of it
.no new race, no new chips, no new weapons, no new anything.

jesus honestly if u dont know waht to bring next check the mod forums or nexus, check the download stats, and u can see what the people want
