I nkow as I live in one of the ex-Warsaw pact countries and I do know where this leads and how bad it will become. The sad thing is that the Western world countries have 0% idea what is to be in one of those and be unwanted/criminal.

The shields can be ignored by getting too close (only the large ones which can not project trough stuff). Even more so, space junk as non salvaged ship debris or unmined asteroid remains can block your shield when draged along with your ship. Always check for them stuck in your shield wall ships before engaging something.

Do small shields have the same issue?
