Fairly good for an ea release, hope the game plans on 5 chapters.

Yes, I tried to limit the game to 120 and 60 fps, but the temperature is still quite high, the game starts to twitch and just kills the whole atmosphere, as if it's 2004, and you're trying to play Doom 3 on a computer weaker than the one at NASA headquarters. I understand that you shouldn't expect miracles from early access. I'm one of those who bought Baldur's Gate 3 right after the sale, saw all the patches from the very beginning of early access and saw how the game turns into candy. I really want the same to happen here.

I didn't say you said that, I extrapolated from you equating a 70-80 dollar game to 20 to or 1000 hours of content. I am asking you what is the right pricing to you? 50 cents an hour, a penny a minute? Time is money to you (apparently) how much money would you spend to play a game, where is your cut off? Would you pay 20 dollars for a 6 hour campaign, 5, 10? What's your number?
If you pay 80 dollars for a game that isn't even available to download yet, is that being "responsible" what if you play 2 hours and it's fine but in the third hour something makes you hate it, will you force yourself to play those extra 997 hours to make it worth it?

Yes everyone bought those games to see what the hype was about, I have. Vast majority probably didnt finish the games wiithout cheating. If you make a game beautiful with sword and magic people will buy it, regardless of the genre, but only a few actually enjoyed them for real. There's a reason elden ring is the most acclaimed one, it's extremely easy, due to the variety of game-breaking builds out there. (The only soul-like i finished and actually enjoyed)

But dodging 20 times and hitting a boss once for puny dmg isn't fun for most players, regardless of how many copies it sold due to hype. This game is very much this type of soul-like, unless you cheese it with magic build, and even then it's still dodge 20 times and cast 1 spell. Miss a dodge and 5mins run back, rinse and repeat.

I'll finish this game cause i'm close to the end, but aside from looking pretty, it's not that fun to play and when I beat a boss it's more of a 'thank god its finally over' than a 'wow that was awesome' feeling.

I also recently got through putting the 4 classes to Auric (plus an extra zealot), and whenever I hicked it was because things were wrong with the build - lacking either burst damage, crowd control, or toughness.

If those things are in harmony with your build it shouldn't pose a problem. You may want to review what you're doing; VoC is not gonna do any magic if nobody is killing the specials.

Mistakes in the build will make you oscillate even harder on Auric and above - since there will be more enemies, the builds need to capitalize on those. Ironically for lower difficulties where there are less things, some builds may cause you to come to a halt from lack of boosts from certain kills or lack of synergy from being too specialized.
Problem has nothing to do with MY build. Its with all the mentally defecient dropped-on-their-heads-as-babies glue sniffers that infest damnation running around with no sense or reason or intelligent gameplay in any way whatsoever.

And I've gotten 3 characters so far to auric. Auric players are so much better, but still get the odd muppet group. Problem is auric matchfinding in Oceanic region is pretty slow so I get stuck with damnation pugs. Fun.

So the problem is not Damnation per se, or even unlocking Auric. The problem is that in OCE nobody is playing MM, and if they are, they're wasted.

The only way you're fixing this is by actually making contacts to play the game with regularly. Which could be what people already do, and that's why you're not finding them?

To clarify, the last thread was locked because it was a necro post. The original post was from March, and we are currently in August.

My understanding of the AI warning (from what Kaminsky has said) is that it is a %age system. RoN does not use enough art for the warning to be required, and considering how long those assets have been in the game without issue, I lean on the side of believing it. That is before mentioning that much of the art is supposedly placeholder in some form, outside of Streamer at least.

Void has their own art team, which does use AI yes. You can read past blogs from early access (I wouldn't be able to remember the specific #" about their art process and AI kit bashing.

Ah okay that makes sense thank you for making everything clear.
