What i mean is the fact that a few of them came out just recently, it would have been really cool if you could port them over so those who purchased them in SE1 can also use them in SE2 they would not go to waste and it would encourage a larger amount of players to switch over, you can create additional ones with different features maybe larger ones this time with more content and new features with things which havent been possible earlier due to limitations maybe in the 20$ section instead of 5$.

I understand its still too early to tell anything about this and nothing is set in concrete and my suggestion is not about a fast carry over more of a general thing to think about in the future but it would be a good thing to do, i wish you guys the best of luck since this is the only space sim sandbox with actual realism and physics and i see a great future for this sequel as well.

They can not transfer DLCs from SE-1 to SE-2.
Now ignoring that they literally can not, there are several issues.

First, is that you have to make new assets at Loss, for the new systems, make them compatible for that system.
As they are not C&P compatible, SE-2 is a more complicated title, making the expensive a lot higher to even convert the assets.

Second, the DLCs from SE-1 are entirely for what SE-1 has for blocks, what blocks existed when they launched and on what code was available for them, Most of the DLCs for SE-1 relate to blocks not even in SE-2 development cycle yet.

Another is development disruption.
SE-2 is not SE-1, and has different gameplay intentions and is being actively developed.
Flooding with DLC on an EA title is legally problematic but its an issue that it disrupts the differing style -- if the user is using the actual new block vs the DLC ones designed for an entirely different title.

The last one, is sales.
SE-1 DLC funds development of SE major updates -- SE-2 having to ship DLCs and DLC assets not only to detect & transfer but for a full-released title to an EA-title has issues with Steam itself, let alone sales.
As now you have to sell DLC in an EA title, that either can't be purchased in SE-2 while having to be registered on SE-2 tied to an entirely different title.
That scrambles the store page, and the ability to even price anything years later as now you have DLC developed for SE-1 major updates flooding SE-2 in EA no less with a different price structure.
Remember SE-1 and SE-2, SE-2 is more intensive, price models are gonna be identical.


Now for the Legal ; SE-1 is on 3 platforms.
2 of those Platforms are consoles, and do not like transfering of a paid-product into a free add-on for another product.
In addition it gets problematic, as you have 1 sold product that is free in another.
Another is that SE-2 is EA (EarlyAccess), and SE-1 is not.

Keen was also told, for SE-1 that their DLC has to be cosmetic or similar.
Which is why their DLC for SE-1 is what it is.
It would strangle their ability to even develop SE-2, as they would be paying out to replicate SE-1 assets without the inflow from the sales to cover the cost of making the assets.
As the assets can't be re-used, in more ways than one.
Not to mention, that DLC for SE-1 is entirely designed around SE-1 and SE-2 isn't reskin, there are different functions, sizes etc
