Star Citizen
I wish they'd bring it to steam. I really want to play it but I hate having games outside my steam library.

That's down to the devs entirely.

Talk on forums that those devs actually read. I dunno if you noticed it, but this is the Steam forum and the game isn't on Steam. Chances are, the devs don't give a hoot about what people on this forum write about Star Citizen.

Write on their forum.

Look, I know the game isn't on Steam and the devs probably don't give a about this forum. But I posted here because I thought Steam users would actually get where I'm coming from. Maybe I'll waste my time on their precious forum, but it's frustrating when all I want is to have my games in one freaking place. Thanks for the advice, I guess.

Sure, Steam users will. But what's the point? Do you want to have the game on Steam, or do you want to have an agreement with others that it would be cool if?

Different goals, different means.

I just know that I would be wasting my time is all. The game has been in alpha for how long? I already know it's never going to come to steam. But yeah you're right, maybe I am looking for someone to say "you're not alone" but there always has to be that "one guy".

It's already been discussed countless times over the years on here just like Tarkov and nothing has ever materialised with those games. It's also not a viable move for the developers with their established games, whilst still in continued early access to move to a platform where their income is cut. They've already invested enough in their infrastructure so to then put themselves in a position where money is taken, especially Star Citizen, would not be viable in the slightest.
The three most important things to have in life:
1. The courage to change things you can
2. The serenity to accept things you can't
3. The wisdom to tell those two apart

If you want this to be changed, then getting together with others acting towards the desired change is a good first step and those would hang around the game forum more than this here.

If you don't want this to be changed, what's the point in posting in the first place? If you'd like this to be changed but there's not a snowball's chance in hell, acceptance is your best choice either way. Let's say, the game never comes to Steam, accepting things as-is costs less nerves, than keeping up a wish that won't get fulfilled ever.
that kinda goes against the devs "rake in as much money as humanly possible" agenda.

You never know where this discussion could lead if enough people got behind it and actually got together and bombarded their forum with players from steam. I can't expect people who are already in the forums and playing the game to care that I want the to play the game on my "precious little steam account". You seem like a logical person, you already know the backlash I would face.
They have been asking for many years on the official forums. Why do you think your action will have a different result?
You wont find masses of Star Citizen enthusiasts on this forum. All you'll get as backlash, maybe with some suggestions sprinkled in.

This. Is. The. Wrong. Place to talk about a specific game.

You're falling for politician's sylilogism. Do yourself a favor, don't do that. Either spend your time constructively, that is take measures towards your problem, or skip right to acceptance. Everything in between is a waste of time & nerves.

I already accepted it before I made the post 😆
Loved Freelancer, Loved its mods, loved Star commander, was unhappy when I learned Freelancers lore was chopped down by 70% and had to be bootlegged into the logs that you wont read or know exist in the game unless you look through the options for it

Chris Roberts has grand ideas, but never finishes anything he sets out to do, I have hopes the game will finish as I still have my damn golden ticket for Star Citizen but even I have hopes for only so long

Probably the only "Star Citizen" that we will live to see is SpaceBourne 2.
Somehow this guy is able to keep his roadmap, probably because he didn't get a lot of money in advance.
