This isn't the EA community. That's also a 25% increase, not a 75% increase.
maybe because it is Play & Play PRO - Combined

Where did you get 75% from?

EA Play - $4.99 > $5.99 per month

EA Play Pro - $14.99 > $16.99 per month

Nope: They are two different subscription models.

If you find the price "ridiculous" don't pay it, end your subscription. Trying to manufacture outrage over something so small probably isn't going to get you much.

As usual, big companies increase subscription prices because they can. I do not endorse this idea.

It was coming anyway, and this probably isn't the first price increase.

The way this works is you have a low introductory price for a minimal barrier of entry. Once you have a decent userbase and they're hooked, you go ahead and start jacking up the price.

We saw it happen with Netflix and plenty of other streaming services before. Netflix used to be $8 per month for everything. Now it has a "standard" plan with ads for $7 per month, a "standard" plan without ads for $15.50, and a "premium" plan for $22.99.

Expect the same thing to happen to these game subscriptions.

People didn't honestly think the price was going to remain the same, did they? It will continue to go up, just as all streaming services will go up. Developers need to be paid and at only $5 or even $15 a month, that isn't going to be much with out a lot of subscribers staying on.

The low price is to get people hooked on the idea, then slowly increase it. I expect it to go up again at some point.

I don't care, i don't use subscription services and i haven#t bought a EA title in many years and i don't plan to do so in the foreseeable future.

Same, for the most part. Most I have done is the Xbox one, and only for a month, to try some games or play some I wasn't willing to pay $70 for. Spent a week and beat Starfield, then played around on other games (some I removed from my wish list after playing).

So it does have it's uses... though mainly in saving me money and costing the developers.

If I subscribed regularly, I know it would eventually turn into the reverse and end up costing more then what I spend buying games.

I don't even do subscriptions, so as far as I'm concerned, they can increase it by 10000000% if they want to.

Either keep your subscription, or don't. It's up to you.
