Why does Steam have North Korea as an option in 'Choose your country'?
Seems pretty odd lol.

They get their list from a source that most other programmers get and that list just contain a whole lot of countries.
Because there may be gamers in North Korea. Not many, but still.

Airport is kind of a special case. I doubt the common peasant is allowed there. Everyone else gets the walled garden of government approved sites.

According to the BBC's article today, "embassies in Pyongyang were ordered not to use wi-fi, because North Koreans might be able to get access from outside the building".

That's why knocking out internet access is fine as a sanction/reprisal. It only really affects Fat Kim and his cohorts.

In my undergrad program here in the states I was a teacher's assistant to a core Info Systems class at a private university that teaches the basics of using computers, mainly the MS Office suite. I kid you not, an 18 year old kid came in to class the first day and did not know how to use a mouse. He dropped the class shortly thereafter. And yes, he was born and raised in America. It was a very surreal moment for me.

Oh I should also mention that this was only about 10 years ago.

This is why IT classes should be mandatory in school.
