Random people sending friend requests exceedingly
Anyone else having random people that you've never seen before adding you every day? Like 5 people add me everyday and I've never seen them before.

Not that often.

I get the occasional suspicious person from China, who only has Dota2 in their library.
Like yeah.... no. I don't even play Dota2.

Fishy!

Anyway, do you even have any games in common with those people?

I used to accept the requests but most of them were just sending me fake links and the others didnt even say anything were just offline until i removed them.

There's some virus going around, just ignore them. Seems to just be bots.

add them, if they dont talk properly or not at all, report them as suspected hijacker or phishing with the description "this account is probably hacked"

if you accept them right after they added you, a normal person would be at their computer, right? but those bots wont answer, they are used for a delayed scam, if they are on your friendslist a real scammer will come up later and those accounts will be used to impersonate your friends. they will talk you into something like you should trade the items they want to a friend of yours to see if the item can be traded or some useless story.

never leave unknown people on your friendslist.

Usually i don't get to check because their profiles are set to private.
I've had about 15 friend requests from random people in the last couple of weeks. I usually get 1 or 2 a month.
They always have their profiles set to private, no avatar and some have random nonsensical names. One guys name was something like 7292873921111.
Just reject their requests because they're most likely bots or scammers.

Yeah not sure why a few people are using bots now and days, I can't see them being that useful when there is steam gaurd in play. If they share links that you have to add a .com to yourself then chances are they're not real, so report them on their profile and remove them.

Also you replied to a thread from 2014 xD. Would be best to just make your own new thread at that point.
