Can someone trace your ip via steam voice chat?
So I just added this guy, and he voice chatted me, he said "thanks for your ip, why did you answer?" I blocked and deleted him, and he said he was going to steal my skins on csgo.. is that possible?

Yes, if you answer a voice call they can get your IP, because voice calls involve a direct connection from their computer to yours. In general though, there's not much they can do with your IP address, unless they plan to hit you with a DDoS attack and try to knock you off the internet.

you don't have to answer the call. IP is in first handshake you receive after requesting a call.

As far as I was aware, that was fixed a while ago, c.f. http://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/2isrw6/latest_steam_client_beta_no_longer_leaks_your_ip/ although I haven't tested it first-hand.

Anyone who wants to see for themselves, just download WireShark and monitor Steam.exe.
