Is it possible to block certain tags?
I'd like to block games with "LGBT friendly" and "Female Protagonist" from appearing. How can I do that?

No, it is not possible. I'm not sure why you would want to block either of them, but we'll not get into that.

Well i am not really sure you may want to block tags like that, you may find games that you will like that can have that in them...
As after all its not the only tag that is in the game

there should be an option to block them. I would never play certain types of games and seeing them just to click on "not interested" it's a waste of time. I want to mark tags as "not interested". That way they would see the most popular genres.

I wouldn't want to block games with that tag, but I'd certainly like the tag removed from my games feed. "Female Protagonist" shouldn't even exist, it's a political statement and has nothing to do with game style or play. It implies that games with female lead characters in them are somehow different and noteworthy.

Over all if there is a male or female Protagonist, i think most games do have a male Protagonist

And yes what Protagonist you play gives a different experience, i know some one that likes to play games with female Protagonist more as it helps her to connect with the character
Its nothing political, just as much as il not say that Pixel Graphics is political, some like to play like that some do not, its how it is...
You want to start a Male Protagonist tag? go right ahead, even that i do not think many will take the time, as over all its the more common one...

Other than that, I think we should block any tags. Not just that. I understand Steam wants you to experiment new games but it's not about what Steam wants, we're the customers and if we choose, we should be able to block them. Even in the "explore" section of the website, I look at the tags first and if it says anything that I don't like, I just put not interested. Why not recommend games that we are actually interested in?

You're forgetting that Steam/Valve has two sets of customers: us, the consumers, and the publishers. Sometimes what one wants conflicts with what the other has agreed to.

In this case, I doubt the publishers would be happy with this, even if you weren't going to buy it anyway.

Knowing that X% of the gaming market refuses to view games with a tag of X is valuable market research to the publishers, even if it means their older products dont get our eyes.

I for one, want to block all MOBAs, MMORPGs, and Roguelikes from showing up in my views.

I want to block all the "RPG Maker" games. They're a bunch of garbage.

Add Tower Defense to that list of things i would block (in addition to MOBA and RPGMaker)

"Female protagonist" is as much a political statement as "red car" is. In other words, it's not a political statement; it's just a statement of a simple fact.

Stop reading too much meaning into things.

I would block nudity and dating sim. I'm tired of these nudity based dating sims being showing up. I kinda don't understand why they even allow some of this games as they fetcher the cartoon equivalent of child porn to my understanding.
