Any how i recommend you post on the Hub of one of the lego games that dose not work, better if its a newer one, as i think more will replay there, its just more likely someone there had the problem and found a fix will look there then look here
5-7 Harry potter dose not work? before you said it did no? (i ma asking as i am trying to compare its engine before, it may be they change in some point or even the Dev)
I have also tried to post on the hub; but when I did Steam considered it a repeat; and removed my thread; because I used the same words.
I have half a dozen LEGO Games NOT working but am not permitted to have half-a-dozen threads on essentially the same issues.
As for Batman 2 working; if they changed the engine; I don`t understand why a number of later games dont work (as well as the earlier games not working).
So; I do think its possible that when registering the game somehow WB is causing the games to not work because Steam and WB have an argument over the pricing or something.
Its the same with "Steam and WB have an argument over the pricing or something." as even if they do, the game needs to keep working fine (just for example Deadpool was removed from Steam owners that got it before it was removed can yet download and play it just fine)
Any how it seem they use the same engine for all the lego game, so that was not relevant any how..
Any how i am out of ideas at these time, il keep search see if i can come up with something else
What are the full system specs on the AMD rig? I don't see them in any of your posts. Please post yoru specs from
Steam-Help-System Information
(1) Kids Games (including LEGO): I just mentioned it because you said:- "So there are more?"
(2) I just know there are a bunch of threads out there where the LEGO Games dont work; but the PERMUTAITONS are Endless; but the onus should be on WB and Steam (THEY working with Microsoft and the Graphics cards companies) and each person with different issues with the games not working. It should not be our unpaid job to find solutions to problems they inflict on the customer by their methodology.
(3) I mentioned that one of the Games does work; and if it has the same Engine; then the others should work? Which is why I am confused.
(4) Many thinks; although I had hoped someone who had bought the same games and uses an AMD i5 rig would have some experience.
Note my i7 NVidia rig has no problems. So I think it is possible its an issue to do with how the PC parts & OS & code interacts.
2) I some what agree, but when you think abut the amount of hardware out there that and possible bugs that can happen.. any how they offer support (with payed people that cost them to hire) to help you there
I do know it can be a pain but dose seem to be the best path if no one else here have any idea, and better to start as early as one can
3) Yap i am confused just as much, to be honest i assume that they mess up something when sitting the game up to Steam that they did not fix when setting all there games
4) got it
Well seem 2 users that i am sure know more then me abut these, are here to help with that any how
The rig the LEGO games dont work on;-
Has a Zalman airflow case (QED no heat issues)
700W Platinum PSU
Mo-bo is an Asus Z87 MAXIMUS IV Rog.
Intel chip is an i5 Haswell low energy (1150).
BIG Zalman cooler.
Two HD 7770 AMD 1Gb graphics cards (games dont work in or out of Crossfire). Patience!
8Gb 2133 A-Data XPG Memory (2 slots).
Samsung 256Gb SSD
WD Black Games Drive.
Windows 8.1 x64 with all the latest updates.
A Standard set of programs with standard updates.
Latest Bios.
Latest Chipset drivers.
Had recent AMD Drivers; LEGO Games only didnt work so I updated to the very newest AMD drivers; but they dont work. Have the option to Use Microsofts own Windows 8.1 version of AMD drivers; but that could cause a glitch I doint need for anything else I am running (50 other games on Steam and Origin and UPlay [as well as with all my other programs] etc)?
SSD is on the ball.
Battlefield 4 runs great; so does Skyrim Ledgendary; and everything else.
But not lego games.
Did I miss anything.
My i7 rig is much the same; but with more. Uses an iChiLL GTX 780.
They all work on the NVidia rig.
Is it a coding issue?
It cant be a rig issue or the other games I have would not work.
I will go to the affected PC and get back to you..... But I referenced some off memory: above.
Subsequent EDIT.
So. I Tried a few Fixes after more reading around; but the newer LEGO Games dont work.
The issues with the older LEGO games was to do with not saving a game and then changing the resolution to 1080p. It was forced to be 1024x756 or something until a game is saved, or it crashes when you go into the game.
Got a couple working then.
So.
The only LEGO games that dont work now are;-
LEGO The Hobbit
LEGO Marvel Super Heroes
LEGO The Movie
LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-to-4 (but the later game works Harry Potter yrs 5-to-7)
Strange ?
